About
Maqbool Elahi Malik, Bar-at-Law and Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, founded Maqbool Elahi Malik Law Associates in 1959; the chamber formally began operations in 1960. As head of the chamber and Patron-in-Chief throughout his practice, he shaped a Lahore institution known for rigorous advocacy and public service.
He served as Advocate General of Punjab on three occasions, for a combined tenure spanning about eleven years (including periods from July 1977 to April 1978, November 1988 to May 1993, and November 1999 to January 2003). He further held office as interim Minister for Planning & Development and Population Welfare.
His leadership established the heritage on which Ali, Ameer & Kamal Law Associates continues to build — combining decades of chamber tradition with contemporary litigation and advisory practice.

Justice (R) Ali Akbar Qureshi joined the legal profession in 1985 and began practice in Lahore. He is a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and appears before the Apex Court. He heads his chamber and leads banking, civil, and corporate matters and consultancy, including drafting and vetting of corporate and commercial work, and has represented leading national and international companies in the superior courts of Pakistan. He is also an expert in arbitration.
Before his elevation, Mr. Qureshi served as Head Legal Advisor of the Faisalabad Development Authority for 28 years, Chief Legal Advisor of the Lahore Development Authority, and counsel to numerous government and private corporations. He has also served as Chairman of the Judicial Water & Environment Commission, Punjab.
His practice has spanned conveyancing, documentation, drafting, vetting, and legal opinions across commercial and corporate work — including company incorporation and registration, corporate restructuring, banking and finance (credit facilities, syndicated loans, and related transactions), engineering and building contracts, joint ventures, foreign investment, petroleum and gas-field agreements, technology licensing, contract negotiation, and the formation of trusts.
